Ann Radcliffe was undoubtedly the most popular writer of her time. It's interesting that Grace chooses Radcliffe's books to line the shelves of her characters, especially since she was a romance writer. It makes one wonder whether she had any influence on Grace's own writing.
This volume includes "The Romance of the Forest" interspersed with Some Pieces of Poetry.
