Little Women

In Happiness Hill, little sister Betty Lou, is reading Little Women for the 17th time while babysitting.

Written by Louisa May Alcott and published in 1868/1869. It is the story of "Meg, Joe, Beth, and Amy." A reviewer from The Times-Picayune (New Orleans), October 18, 1868 writes:

Miss Alcott's "Little Women" seems to be very interesting folks. The snatches of the story of their lives that we have perused prove the author to be an accomplished artist in juvenile literature. We commend the volume to our little lady friends.
