The Pilgrim's Progress

Written by John Bunyan

This allegory has been a favorite of children and adults alike for hundreds of years.

The Pilgrim's Progress was first published in February, 1678. It is regarded as one of the most significant works of religious English literature, has been translated into more than 200 languages, and has never been out of print.

Bunyan began his work while imprisoned in the Bedfordshire county gaol for violations of the Conventicle Act, which prohibited the holding of religious services outside the auspices of the established Church of England.

We much prefer the beauty of the original text in its "King James" style language. However, modern readers often find it a task to weed through the Olde English and miss this great classic. We invite you to enjoy this simplified version.
